Trudeau’s empty housing promises are costing families $4,212 more a year

In 2015, Justin Trudeau said he’d make housing affordable. Six years later, housing prices are out of control and the cost of rent is skyrocketing across the country.

In Toronto, families are paying $4,212 more a year in rent for a two-bedroom apartment. That’s an increase of nearly 30% in just six years, as Trudeau gives million to developers who build expensive units and profit off the housing crisis.

Jagmeet Singh:

“Justin Trudeau says the right things about housing but has no intention of doing them. Instead of making housing more affordable, he’s letting big developers and speculators off the hook. Rent is skyrocketing. People can’t afford Justin Trudeau’s empty promises anymore.”
