Statement by Jagmeet Singh on sexual assault allegations against Liberal candidate

Earlier this evening, Jagmeet made the following statement:

Earlier in this campaign, survivors of sexual assault watched for five days while Justin Trudeau defended Raj Saini.

Tonight, we have learned about serious allegations of sexual assault against another one of Justin Trudeau’s candidates.

Again, Mr. Trudeau is refusing to fire a candidate who has been accused of sexual assault.

From sexual misconduct in the military to accusations against himself and his candidates, Justin Trudeau has repeatedly shown women that he doesn’t believe them.

By defending this candidate, Justin Trudeau is still putting the ambitions of himself and other men over the lives and well-being of women.

He’s proving that for all his talk about feminism, he’ll never back it up with action to support women.

These are not the actions of a feminist Prime Minister.
