Statement from Blake Desjarlais Treasury Board critic, Niki Ashton National Revenue critic and Gord Johns Public Services and Procurement critic

We stand in solidarity with the 35,000 workers at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) who have voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action.

Workers at CRA have been without a contract for more than a year while the cost of living has continued to soar.

CRA workers along with many in the public service kept Canada going during the pandemic and continue do so as Canadians face economic difficulty.

It’s time for the Liberals to agree to a fair and decent contract. Public service workers and Canadians deserve nothing less.
