REALITY CHECK: Session Wrap Up – Only the NDP fights for people

Canadians know that when they send New Democrats to Ottawa, New Democrats fight for families and workers.

Here are a few examples of how Jagmeet Singh and the NDP are fighting for Canadians:

COVID supports

Jagmeet fought to increase benefits, to include more people, and to protect millions more jobs. With 2 million people still unemployed, he’s fighting to keep those supports going.

Justin Trudeau? He wants to cut that support by $800 a month.

Supporting students

Jagmeet fought to extend the moratorium on student loan repayments in place until the pandemic is over.

Justin Trudeau? He refused.

Pharmacare

Jagmeet’s NDP proposed legislation to implement a universal pharmacare system so that everyone has access to the drugs they need.

Justin Trudeau and Erin O'Toole? They voted against this legislation.

Dental Care

Jagmeet’s NDP proposed legislation to give 6.7 million people access to much-needed dental services and include those services under Medicare.

Justin Trudeau and Erin O'Toole? They voted against this legislation.

Taxing the Ultra-rich

Jagmeet is fighting for a more inclusive economic recovery where the ultra-rich pay their fair share.

Justin Trudeau and Erin O'Toole? They voted against our motion.

Fighting Climate Change

With Bill C-12, New Democrats fought for real government accountability on carbon neutrality.

Justin Trudeau's Liberals? They'd rather buy pipelines.

Time and again, Jagmeet Singh has proven that when Canadians send New Democrats to Ottawa, New Democrats they fight for Canadians.
