NDP Statement on Remembrance Day

Jagmeet Singh, Leader of Canada’s NDP, issued the following statement:

“Today, we honour the bravery and loyalty of all those who have fought in service of Canada, and have served overseas or here at home.

We remember those who put their lives on the line for our country and did not return home. And we remember those who did return, but were forever changed by their experience.

On the 65th anniversary of the end of the Korean War, and the 100th anniversary of the signing of the armistice that sealed the end of World War I, let us honour the sacrifices of those who served or fell in the line of duty.

It’s our duty to support our soldiers, our veterans, and their families – by listening, by being advocates, and by pushing for the supports they have earned and deserve.

We’ll always remember their selfless courage and the high price of war, today and every day.

Lest we forget.”
