NDP Statement on National Volunteer Week

Canada’s NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh issued the following statement:

“During this year’s National Volunteer Week, let’s recognize and celebrate the countless individuals who generously give their time, talents and energy to help others in need and contribute to a better world.

Their dedication and commitment to helping others are powerful reminders of the importance of community and the impact individuals can make when they come together for a common cause.

This year’s theme of “Weaving Us Together” is significant. New Democrats know that by working together and looking out for one another, we can all be a part of strengthening our communities and making lasting, positive change for generations to come. Learning new skills, making meaningful connections and building our communities is an invaluable part of volunteering.

Let us all take this opportunity to express our appreciation for the volunteers who improve our neighbourhoods and our entire country with their hard work, dedication and community spirit.”
