Mylène Freeman re-elected Chair of NDP Women's Caucus

Sadia Groguhé will continue to serve as Vice-Chair

The federal NDP Caucus re-elected Mylène Freeman (Argenteuil–Papineau–Mirabel) as Chair and Sadia Groguhé (Saint-Lambert) as Vice-Chair of the NDP Women’s Caucus.

“Women are better represented now in Parliament than ever before thanks to the efforts of the NDP, who saw a caucus of 40% women elected in 2011. We will continue our hard work to promote genuine equality in our parliamentary institutions and across Canada, "said Mylène Freeman.

“The Women’s Caucus, alongside all New Democrat MPs, will continue to promote progressive policies, on issues like pay equity and will continue to defend women’s rights in Canada and elsewhere,” added Groguhé.
