Matthew Dubé elected as NDP Youth Caucus chair

OTTAWA – Matthew Dubé (Chambly – Borduas) has been elected as chair of the NDP Youth Caucus and Isabelle Morin (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce–Lachine) has been elected vice-chair.

“I’m looking forward to reaching out to youth across the country,” said Dubé. “Youth voices matter to the NDP and we defend their future every day in Parliament. By engaging young Canadians, we will make our country better and strengthen our democracy.”

Dubé is the NDP Sports critic and was also recently appointed the deputy critic for Official Languages. Isabelle Morin is the NDP’s spokesperson for Animal Rights and Welfare.

“The divisive politics of the past don’t work,” said Morin. “Young Canadians are looking for a party like the NDP that takes them seriously and puts their interests ahead of a well-connected few.”
