Liberals are out of touch when it comes to affordable housing

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh the following statement:

“Today we learned that according to Justin Trudeau, $2 225 a month in rent is deemed affordable for families living in Montreal.
This shows how out of touch he is with the reality of everyday people who struggle to make ends meet.
In the 18 months leading up to the September federal election, Trudeau’s Minister responsible to deliver affordable housing made 54 announcements, and yet thousands of families are still waiting for a safe place they can afford to settle in.
People need a government that is on their side. Not a government ready to turn its back on them to benefit the interests of rich developers.
This needs to change, and in this new Parliament, New Democrats will continue to fight to make sure no one is left without a place to call home.
Canadians deserve no less."
