Justin Trudeau – late to the party on pipelines

So Justin Trudeau has concerns about the Energy East pipeline? Well that’s new.

It was less than two months ago that his fellow Liberals stood up and voted with the Conservatives against an NDP motion opposing TransCanada’s proposed oil export terminal at Cacouna.

Where was Justin Trudeau for that important vote? Absent again.

And just recently Justin Trudeau said the following about Energy East:

“I believe that in light of this Court ruling and the support of the provincial government, this needs to go ahead,” – Justin Trudeau, Radio-Canada’s Téléjournal, September 3, 2014

And who can forget his support for other pipelines?

“I am in favour of the Keystone, I am very much in favour of the west-east pipeline, I am in favour of the Line 9.” – Justin Trudeau, Your McMurray Magazine, May 29, 2014

Tom Mulcair has said that the NDP will be evaluating all pipeline projects based on a thorough review, including public consultation and the climate change impacts of each project.

Because Canadians deserve better.
