Jagmeet Singh to visit New York City to discuss the rising cost of living

NEW YORK CITY —This week, Canada’s NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh will travel to New York City to discuss the increasing cost of living.

Singh will meet with economists from the Roosevelt Institute and visit the workers of the first unionized Amazon plant in Staten Island.

Later in the trip, Singh will meet with Ambassador Bob Rae. Singh will end his visit with a Bloomberg interview.

The discussions will revolve around identifying causes, analyzing impacts, and establishing solutions to the escalating cost of living affecting a large portion of the North American population.

"As the leader of the NDP, it's my duty to ensure every Canadian can make ends meet. The cost of living crisis is a global concern that transcends borders. By going to New York City, I'm hoping to talk about our fight for lower rent and against greedflation," Singh said.

Singh's visit underscores the NDP's commitment to fighting economic inequality.
