Toronto - Digital Outreach Specialist (ONDP) - Full-time
The Ontario NDP is seeking an experienced digital campaigner with outstanding written communication skills to play a key role in the ONDP’s digital program.
In this job you will be responsible for producing persuasive written content and crafting compelling stories for digital outreach. Working as part of our digital department, you’ll be tasked with using web tools to get the Ontario NDP elected in 2018. Your work will engage voters, recruit volunteers, mobilize support, and grow our donor base in the course of multi-platform digital campaigns.

Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, write and edit engaging content for web, email, social media, video and other digital platforms.
- Develop, calendar and write fundraising, engagement and mobilization emails to supporters.
- Work in HTML and CSS to format and perfect email sends and web pages.
- Ensure written materials fit the right political frame and adhere to the ONDP’s brand, voice and tone.
- Vary the language and tone of the message based on audience and channel.
- Collaborate with digital team members to develop a compelling end product.
- Analyze and report on the results of digital campaigns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years relevant work in digital campaigning.
- Expertise using Blue State Digital.
- Expertise using NationBuilder.
- Experience with targeting and segmenting digital communication
- Exceptional written communication skills - and a unique and personal writing style.
- Proven experience managing projects and products in a fast paced environment.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects to completion.
- Technical and creative graphic design skills using Photoshop, Illustrator or a comparable tool.
- Experience working in HTML and CSS.
- Experience in website optimization and testing.
- Knowledge of the ONDP, its history, policies and of Ontario politics in general.
- French language skills an asset
