Responsibilities

  • Undertake casework with constituents on federal matters (E.I., pensions, taxation, etc.) including communications and correspondence with constituents and government agencies
  • Assist with constituency events
  • Administer and log incoming case related phone calls, emails, faxes and walk-in traffic
  • Liaise with various federal government departments and community organizations
  • Assist with Member’s constituent and critic-related correspondence on casework
  • Maintain database on casework
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Experience and clear commitment to client service
  • Knowledge of immigration, employment insurance, pension and other federal programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and strong work management abilities
  • Conscientious and attentive to details
  • Previous experience communicating with government agencies, an asset
  • Bilingualism, an asset

Annual salary

$55,000

(Salary levels subject to clauses 12 and 21 of the collective agreement)
