Financial Agent & Logistics – Québec Section (Permanent)
The New Democratic Party of Canada is seeking a Financial Agent & Logistics Coordinator – Quebec Section to play a key role in ensuring that the NDP Quebec Section is supported in their work and that Quebec Electoral District Associations (EDAs) are compliant with all financial and regulatory requirements.
Job Duties
- Act as the Financial Agent for Quebec EDAs and Official Agent for Quebec Campaigns
- Coordinate and undertake all financial activity on behalf of Quebec EDAs and campaigns (preparing cheques, managing bank accounts and donation deposits, and preparing tax receipts).
- Maintaining administrative records for all bank account.
- Entering all financial information into the Elections Canada tracking system (EFR) and reporting annually as required by law.
- All other statutory obligations of a Financial Agent / Official Agent pursuant to the Canada Elections Act.
- Administrative support for the NDP Quebec Section.
- Planning and execution of bi-annual Quebec Convention.
Job Qualifications
- French-language proficiency is required. Bilingualism is an asset.
- Experience in administration and/or project coordination.
- Experience working with volunteers and/or within a volunteer-driven organization.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to self-direct.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools
- Experience in the use of Customer Relationship Management software, especially within a Not-for-Profit context.
- Sound political judgment and knowledge of current political issues, the New Democratic Party structure and its policies.
- Knowledge of Elections Canada reporting requirements or experience working within a highly regulated industry / framework.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Annual salary
This position is a unionized position collectively bargained by COPE 225. Terms and conditions of employment are outlined in the Collective Agreement $66,955.51 with semi-annual raises for the first 4 years and annual Cost-of-Living increases.
Comprehensive health and dental benefits and enrolment in the NDP Pension program that includes an 8% employer contribution annually.
