Donor Outreach Campaigner

Job summary

Canada’s New Democrats are searching for a number of Donor Outreach Campaigner’s to join the team. Under the supervision of the Donor Outreach Campaign Team Lead, the Donor Outreach Campaigner will contribute to the success of the NDP’s outreach, fundraising and donor development programs.

Are you an energetic, personable and highly motivated individual that shares values and goals of the New Democratic Party? Do you have experience in grassroots community organizing, customer service, communications, event management, sales and/or fundraising?

Job duties

• Raise awareness and generate support for the organization’s work
• Speak passionately and inspire others to support Canada’s NDP
• Engage members and donors through tele-campaigns, driving donor engagement and increasing monthly contributions and one-time gifts

Required skills

• Energetic and upbeat
• Professional verbal communications skills
• Comfortable discussing issues and asking for money over the phone
• Knowledgeable and passionate about social issues and/or Canada’s NDP
• Thrives in a work environment in which critical thinking and on-going learning are encouraged
• Experience in telephone fundraising
• Can work late afternoons and evenings

Assets

• Familiarity with donor databasesStrong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Experience in community organizing / activism / public speaking
• Phone sales experience
• Bilingualism
• Available to work some weekends

Annual Salary: $17/hr

Type: Casual, Part-Time, Shifts availability to be discussed with qualified candidates

COVID-19:

Our offices continue to be closed due to COVID-19. Currently, all donor outreach campaigners are working from home. We will provide all employees with the technology needed to engage in this work from home

(computer, headset etc). However, qualified candidates must have a stable internet connection to engage in this work.

We hope to be back in our offices sometime over the next few months. Once our officers re-open, this position will not be available for remote work and will be based out of our national HQ in Ottawa.
