Statement by New Democrat Interim Leader on Eid ul Fitr

Assalam-O-Alaikum.

Dear brothers and sisters,

When the community comes together to mark the end of Ramadan, it is an opportunity to renew the spirit and faith in Islam. Eid doesn’t just mark the end of a spiritual experience, but provides a chance to thank Allah for the help and strength given throughout this special month. It is also a time to ask for blessings to be extended throughout the year to all of humanity.

On behalf of my entire party, caucus and staff, I extend my best wishes to you and your families.
