NDP statement on rising COVID-19 hospitalizations in Saskatchewan

Leader of Canada’s NDP Jagmeet Singh made the following statement:

“Federal New Democrats are closely monitoring the concerning health care situation in Saskatchewan where the province is reporting record COVID-19 hospitalization numbers.

The pandemic is not over yet. Many people in Saskatchewan are still struggling with the reality of friends and family facing medical emergencies due to COVID-19. The federal government should be ready to support Saskatchewanians as needed.

Now more than ever, we need to make sure people are getting the medical support they need by reinforcing, protecting, and investing in our health care system. New Democrats will continue to fight for our loved ones and needed investments in our health care system, so it’s there for people when they need it.”
