Jagmeet encourages people to vote in advance polls

Canadians encouraged to vote early for a government that will fight for them

OTTAWA— After connecting with Canadians on the issues that matter to them in the last election debate, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh stood with supporters in Ottawa and laid out the choice Canadians face in this campaign.

“As Canadians go to advance polls, they’re faced with a choice about what kind of leader they need,” said Jagmeet. “They can choose Justin Trudeau, who has had six years to help people but instead gave a free ride to billionaires and big corporations. Or they can choose to vote for New Democrats. We don’t answer to the rich and powerful. We’ve delivered real help for people during the pandemic.”

Jagmeet encouraged voters to visit HowYouVote.ca to make a plan to vote in advance polls. The website provides clear, accurate information about how and where to vote.

“Canadians can’t afford more of Justin Trudeau’s empty promises. His selfish snap election showed where his priorities are – a power grab for himself, instead of helping people,” said Jagmeet. “He’s had six years to make life more affordable and deliver clean drinking water, good housing and pharmacare but showed that he never had any intention of following through on his promises. I’m not Justin Trudeau. I’m ready to keep fighting for a more affordable, more equal, and more fair future for everyone.”
