Statement by NDP leader Tom Mulcair on Rosh Hashanah

NDP Leader Tom Mulcair made the following statement on Rosh Hashanah:

"At this start of the Jewish High Holidays, I would like to offer my best wishes to all those who will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year that begins today at sunset.

“This holiday is an opportunity for families to remember the past and rejoice in the year to come. It’s a time for redemption, forgiveness and renewal, as we seek to build a better world, one that is more peaceful and prosperous for our children and grand-children.

“On behalf of Catherine and the whole NDP team, may the New Year bring you health, happiness and friendship, as well as many beautiful celebrations.
