NDP statement on the occasion of Pesach

Official Opposition leader Tom Mulcair made the following statement on the occasion of Pesach:

“Catherine and I extend our warmest wishes to members of the Jewish community across the country as they gather to celebrate Pesach.

A celebration of freedom, Pesach is a good opportunity for families to gather to retell the powerful story of the Exodus of the Jewish people out of slavery.

The story of the Exodus reminds us that faith and determination leads to a bright future and that hope will ultimately triumph over oppression.

On behalf of New Democrats, we offer our best wishes and a happy holiday.
