Donor Outreach Campaigner

Canada’s NDP is looking for energetic, motivated individuals who love speaking with people to join our team as Donor Outreach Campaigners. In this position you will join a fun, dynamic team and play an important role in the success of the NDP by engaging in meaningful conversations with Canadians from coast to coast to coast and inspiring them to get involved as supporters.

Experience in grassroots community organizing, customer service, fundraising or sales is a plus but not a requirement. Our experienced team of outreach and fundraising professionals provide ongoing training and support. Whether you have formal fundraising, outreach experience or are looking for a way to make a difference, this is a great opportunity to learn and build skills while doing meaningful work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engage members and donors through phone-campaigns, driving donor stewardship, increasing monthly contributions and one-time gifts;
  • Raise awareness and generate support for the NDP’s work, leaving donors feeling good about the call and the NDP’s work;
  • Speak passionately to donors about issues that matter most to them, and inspire them to get involved;
  • Use dialing software to facilitate calls, update donor records in CRM;
  • Participate in daily briefings and skill sharing exercises;
  • Provide regular summaries to management on top issues heard on the phone.

Qualifications

  • Energetic, upbeat and passionate about the NDP;
  • Comfortable discussing Canadian politics and asking for donations over the phone;
  • Professional verbal communications skills;
  • Thrive in a work environment in which critical thinking and on-going learning are encouraged;
  • Can work late afternoons/evenings and/or weekends.

Assets

  • Fundraising experience, especially phone fundraising in a not-for-profit setting
  • Experience using an automatic dialer
  • Experience using Microsoft programs like Teams, Outlook, Office

Starting at $18.08 per hour as per the Collective Agreement with COPE 225

Casual - Up to 40 hours per week

Shift times

Monday through Thursday (3:45-10:15pm) and Sundays (1-8pm). More horus available during important deadline periods.
