PETITION TO THE LIBERAL GOVERNMENT OF CANADA

We the undersigned residents of Canada, draw the attention of the government to the following:

  • THAT Trudeau's Liberal Government 2018 Public Report entitled ‘2018 Public Report on the Terrorism Threat to Canada’ added 'Sikh/Khalistani Extremism' to the list of Current Terrorist Threats to Canada without any evidence;
  • THAT Shia and Sunni communities are included in the Report without providing clarity as to why they were included.
  • THAT unfounded allegations publicly disparage an entire community without reasonable cause and jeopardize the well-being and safety of Canadian Sikhs and Muslims.;
  • THAT In this same Liberal Government report, the shooting attack in 2017 at a Mosque in Quebec City which took the lives of six innocent Canadians, was not included in the report's list of ‘Key Plots or Attacks Conducted in Canada.'
  • THAT In this same Liberal Government report, the 2018 Toronto van attack, which killed 10 innocent people was not included in the report's list of ‘Key Plots or Attacks Conducted in Canada.'

THEREFORE, we call on the Government of Canada to provide a clear explanation to clarify the motivations for including these new threat factors and to ensure the report is supported by facts and objective evidence – and in the absence of evidence, remove them.
