Across the country, people are making impossible choices every day — cutting pills in half, choosing between paying rent on time or filling their prescription, or going without the drugs they need altogether.
The pandemic only makes things worse: a lot of families were making ends meet with employer-provided drug benefits that they now no longer have.
We don’t want to go back to the way things were - we want to build things better than they were.
We want to build universal pharmacare so everyone will be covered - just like our universal healthcare. And now we have the chance to make this a reality. Our proposal would make pharmacare free for Canadians.
If Justin Trudeau’s Liberals want to help Canadian families, they can work with us to deliver the universal pharmacare plan people need.
