Say no to surveillance pricing!

Don’t let corporations use personal data to charge you more!

New Democrats will stop giant grocers and Big Tech from using AI and surveillance to rip you off.

Big tech, grocery chains and other retailers are teaming up to charge you more.

They are using your personal data — where you live, what you browse, or how often you shop — to set the highest price they think you’ll pay.

That means two people buying the same product could pay two different prices.

The practice is called “surveillance pricing” and the NDP is calling on the federal government to ban it before it spreads – both in-store and online.

Earlier this year, the NDP Manitoba government introduced a bill banning the practice in the province. Now we need federal leadership to do it across the country.

While these days all politicians claim to be shocked by the costs of living, the NDP is the only party delivering concrete solutions to make life more affordable. Solutions that work for the 99%, rein in the power of grocery giants and tech oligarchs, and make your life more affordable.
