When kids go online, many will be exposed to hateful and harmful content, sexual extorsion and harassment.
In the last election, Justin Trudeau promised a legislation within the first 100 days to protect Canadians from toxic online content and hold platforms accountable.
It’s been 814 days since that promise, and still nothing has happened.
Children are taking their own lives because they were sexually extorted online or faced other forms of online harm. It is a tragedy, and we must act to stop it.
With no action, Justin Trudeau is letting down families and vulnerable Canadians. And Pierre Poilievre prefers to protect big web giants profit than hold them accountable to making our kids safe.
Other countries have taken action to protect kids from online harm — it’s time Canada does, too.
Tell Justin Trudeau and the Liberals to stop sitting idly by and take action to stop online harm.
