Renters have been hit hard in the pandemic - and in many parts of the country, still face evictions if they can’t pay rent. But you can’t pay rent if your job doesn’t exist - renters need a rent freeze. Add your name if you agree.
We are a few months into the pandemic, and those who have lost their jobs have been stretched to the max. People have seen their savings evaporate. Renters and mortgage-payers alike are worried about how they’re going to pay their bills.
Canadians need immediate action today. Jagmeet Singh and the NDP team are fighting to make sure no one is left behind and working to deliver results as quickly as possible. We are calling on the government to freeze rent and mortgage payments.
