Sample Script
Hi, my name is _______, and I’m calling from _______. I am concerned about Bill C-39 and how this Bill would fast-track major projects at the expense of workers’ rights, Indigenous rights, and environmental protections. I’m calling on you to Stop C-39. To listen to your constituents and communities. Do not support this bill. This is blatant trampling of Indigenous rights and the duty to consult. The Liberals are granting corporate Canada’s wish list instead of investing in what actually makes our country strong. These are unpopular measures that the Carney government did not run on and has no mandate for. Stop C-39.
- C-39 would give the government new powers to intervene in major labour disputes, weakening the constitutional right to strike and tipping the scales in favour of big corporations. You don’t build a stronger Canada by attacking the workers who build it.
- C-39 doubles down on a rushed and risky process for massive industrial projects.
- It would allow the government to eliminate virtually all environmental considerations for any major project.
