Reality Check: Justin Trudeau promises it won’t happen again...again

Justin Trudeau just can’t seem to help himself when it comes to helping himself… and his family and insider friends.

First, he was found guilty of breaking conflict of interest and ethics laws for his free trip and helicopter ride to the Aga Khan’s luxury island, then he was found guilty again for his SNC-Lavalin scandal.

Each time, he promises he won’t do it again. But then he does.

On December 20, 2017, Justin Trudeau spoke to journalists to talk about breaking the rules for the island vacation and promised:

“We’re going to work with the office of the ethics commissioner in the new year to ensure that as we go forward, we are in full and complete compliance with the commissioner’s rules and with the rules in place”

But, less than two years later, on August 14, 2019, he was found guilty again.

He was very much the opposite of in “full and complete compliance” but again, he said, “we need to make sure that my government or any government going forward is never in this situation again.”

Well, now, less than a year later, he puts his government back in this situation...again.

Again, he’s admitting he made a mistake.

Again, he promises he has learned his lesson.

Again, he’s asking us to trust that he’ll do better next time.

Break the law, get caught, promise it won’t happen again...then do it again.

The Prime Minister's decision to put rich insiders ahead of young people across the country cost those young Canadians a lot.

Despite his promises to do better next time, Justin Trudeau keeps choosing to do the wrong thing.

Canadians deserve better.
