Howard Hampton on Board to Help Chief Turtle Win Kenora

On Friday, the NDP’s Kenora campaign announced former Ontario NDP Leader and MPP for Kenora, Howard Hampton, would manage Chief Rudy Turtle’s campaign to be the people of Kenora's next Member of Parliament.

Hampton will serve as Chief Turtle’s campaign manager for the 2019 election campaign. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1987 to 2011 in the electoral district of Rainy River and Kenora—Rainy River and was the Ontario NDP's leader from 1996 to 2009. Hampton was also a consultant to former federal NDP leader Thomas Mulcair on the Northern Ontario Ring of Fire mining development and the candidate for Kenora in the 2015 election.

“I’m so proud to be on Chief Turtle’s team to help him become the next NDP MP for Kenora,” said Hampton. “Jagmeet, Chief Turtle and the entire NDP team will work hard to make families' lives more affordable rather than improving the lives of multimillionaires. And I’m excited to be on the team to help make that happen.”
