Justin Trudeau and the Liberal government had no problem writing off billions in debt for rich corporations, but when it comes to students – they forced them to pay $4 billions in interest on their student loans.

Jagmeet and the NDP are committed to forgiving up to $20,000 in debt per student for people making less than $100,000, and making sure young people get ahead by:

Permanently eliminating interest on student loans.
Permanently doubling non-repayable Canada Student Grants.
Working with the provinces and territories to cap and reduce tuition fees.
Building towards making post-secondary education part of our public education system.
