Oil and Gas CEOs are getting rich off the climate crisis while families are being evacuated from their homes due to wildfires. NDP MP Laurel Collins has called these CEOs to Parliament to explain themselves to Canadians.

Canadians are facing the start of yet another devastating wildfire season. Families are being forced to flee their homes, unsure if they will be able to return.
Meanwhile, some of Canada’s biggest polluters are making record profits.
The Liberals invited oil executives to help craft their climate policies and continue to give Big Oil and Gas corporations handouts and subsidies. The Conservatives have no climate plan and are best friends with the Big Oil and Gas lobby – Pierre Poilievre even has a lobbyist for a Big Oil corporation in his top council.
But the Liberals and the Conservatives don’t have the courage take on corporate greed, and they refuse to hold Big Oil and Gas accountable for their pollution.
It is no wonder these companies feel like they can gouge Canadians and pollute with impunity. And it’s no wonder Canada has missed every single climate target.
New Democrats have had enough. That’s why NDP MP Laurel Collins is forcing Big Oil and Gas CEOs to come to Parliament to explain themselves to Canadians.
The CEOs of Suncor Energy Inc., Imperial Oil Ltd., Cenovus Energy Inc., Enbridge Inc., as well as the President and Country Chair of Shell Canada Ltd., will be forced to explain why they should be allowed to make record-breaking profits while families are being forced from their homes due to climate change.
