Statement by Leader Nycole Turmel on new NDP critic appointments

I’m pleased to announce the appointment of new critic roles within the Federal New Democrat caucus.

Joe Comartin will be stepping in as House Leader, working alongside Deputy House Leader Hélène Laverdière. Jack Harris will take on the Justice file, with David Christopherson taking over as Defence Critic.

These new critics are part of a strong team of New Democrats. A team that’s united, that knows what it believes, and will hold Stephen Harper to account in the House of Commons.

On behalf of Canada’s New Democrats, I welcome these critics to their new positions.
