Statement by Jack Layton on the death of Canadian solider: Trooper Brian Richard Good

"The loss of Trooper Brian Richard Good is a tragedy that is keenly felt by all who hear of his death in Afghanistan. From his colleagues in the field to his family back home, the reality of this is just sinking in.

"Mr. Good died in the service of his country and should be remembered with respect and gratitude.

"On behalf of all New Democrats I extend my condolences to his loved ones, and hope that they will get all of the support they need as they cope with their loss."
