NDP marks opening of the 6th Canadian Francophone Games

New Democrat MPs Françoise Boivin (Gatineau) and Yvon Godin (Acadie—Bathurst) made the following statement on the Canadian Francophone Games, to be held July 23-27 in Gatineau, QC:

“This is the one of the most important gatherings of young Francophones in Canada, and we are proud that Gatineau has been chosen to host this year’s event. We would like to congratulate the organizing committee for their amazing work, along with the hundreds of devoted volunteers that make the event possible. Best of luck to all participants.

“The Canadian Francophone Games play a key role in the development of Francophone communities across the country. It’s a wonderful opportunity for young people to practice the sports and recreational activities that they love, while coming together to celebrate the wealth and diversity of Canada’s French-speaking population.”
