Tom Mulcair launches NDP Campaign for Change

OTTAWA — Today, NDP Leader Tom Mulcair launched his Campaign for Change.

“After ten years of Stephen Harper, middle-class families are working harder than ever but can’t get ahead. Canadian wages are falling, incomes are stagnant, household debt is skyrocketing and 200,000 more Canadians are out-of-work than before the 2008 recession," said Mulcair. "Clearly Stephen Harper's plan isn't working."

In his opening statement of the election campaign, Mulcair noted that Stephen Harper has the worst job creation record of any Prime Minister since the Second World War.

"In this election, Canadians have a clear choice between four more years of Stephen Harper and the Conservatives or my plan for change,” said Mulcair.

“The NDP plan for change is built on enduring Canadian values; hard work, living within your means, honesty and accountability, and an unwavering commitment to focus the government’s priorities on helping middle-class families get ahead,” said Mulcair. “Canadians are ready for change. We’re ready too.”
