NDP statement on the occasion of Nowruz

NDP Leader Tom Mulcair made the following statement on the occasion of Nowruz:

“Today, we join all Canadians celebrating Nowruz, the welcoming of spring and the New Year in the Persian calendar.

This ancient festival celebrates the renewal of nature and promotes the values of peace, solidarity, and reconciliation.

As friends and family gather to give thanks for blessings and celebrate this joyous occasion, we join you in looking with hope to the year ahead.
