Statement by Tom Mulcair on the New Year

NDP leader Tom Mulcair made the following statement on New Year’s Day:

“On this first day of this new year, my family and my wife Catherine and I would like to wish all Canadians a peaceful, healthy and happy 2015.

“This is a great day to reflect on the kind of country that we want to build together – a fairer, greener and more prosperous Canada for all.

“In 2015, my NDP team will continue to work hard to make this vision a reality. We will forge ahead to ensure that our children and future generations can look back and thank us.

“There’s still much to do, but I know that by working together we will get the job done.

“Happy New Year!”
