Statement by the Official Opposition on Maha Shivratri

Official Opposition Leader, Tom Mulcair (Outremont) made the following statement on Maha Shivratri :

“I would like to extend my best wishes to all Hindu Canadians celebrating the Maha Shivratri —the most important traditional holiday in reverence of Lord Shiva.

Canada is home to strong and dynamic Hindu communities that have been integral in shaping the growth and development of this country.

All New Democrats join me in wishing Canadians a joyful celebration and best wishes this Maha Shivratri.”
