Statement from the Leader of the Official Opposition, Tom Mulcair, for Easter weekend

The leader of the Official Opposition, Tom Mulcair (Outremont), made the following statement for Easter:

“As families prepare to mark Good Friday and celebrate Easter, my wife Catherine and I extend our best wishes to Christians across Canada and around the world.

These Holy Days mark the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ and are synonymous with hope and renewal. It’s a time to look to the future with a new sense of optimism and purpose.

On behalf of New Democrats, I wish all those who celebrate a very happy and blessed Easter Weekend.”
