Statement by the Leader of the Official Opposition on Daniel Paillé’s resignation

The leader of the Official Opposition Tom Mulcair (Outremont) made the following statement today on the announcement of Bloc Québécois Leader Daniel Paillé’s resignation:

“The New Democratic Party would like to highlight the remarkable work of Bloc Québécois Leader Daniel Paillé, who announced he was stepping down today for health reasons.

An economist, Paillé dedicated many years to active politics. His contribution and commitment to public life should be commended.

On behalf of all New Democrats, I wish him all the strength and support necessary in this difficult time.”
