Statement by New Democrat Foreign Affairs critic Paul Dewar on Pakistan’s Independence Day
On behalf of my party, caucus and staff, I extend best wishes to the people of Pakistan as they celebrate their 65th Independence Day.
Pakistan is a jewel in South Asia with a rich culture and tradition. Canada is proud to be the new home to so many Pakistani immigrants across our country.
The contribution of Pakistani-Canadians is appreciated and I thank them for their generosity, kindness and warmth.
