Statement by NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair on Easter

On this special day, I would like to extend my very best wishes to all of you who celebrate Easter.

For many Canadians, this day marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ—and those universal ideas of rebirth and hope for better days ahead.

Easter is another reminder that a new season is upon us. And for Canadians of all faiths, springtime is a wonderful time to celebrate renewal and the new opportunities that lay before us.

I wish you and your loved ones a very happy Easter.
