New Democrats congratulate Canadian Olympic and Paralympic athletes

As part of the day of recognition for Canadian Olympic and Paralympic athletes in Parliament, this afternoon in the House of Commons New Democrats congratulated athletes on their exceptional performance at the London Games.

“We can be proud, as citizens of this great country, of what they accomplished during the Olympic Games,” said New Democrat Sports Critic Matthew Dubé (Chambly-Borduas). “Our Olympic and Paralympic athletes, with their courage and determination, are a source of inspiration for all Canadians. They inspired us with their world-class performances.”
