NDP welcomes new National Director

The New Democratic Party of Canada is proud to announce that Anne McGrath will serve as the party’s National Director.

“Anne has played a crucial role in helping to bring our party to where we are today and I couldn't be more pleased that she will be taking on this important role,” said NDP Leader Tom Mulcair. "Anne's extensive knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we continue to build toward the next election and prepare to form the first ever NDP government."

A long-time member of the NDP, McGrath served as party President and was Chief of Staff to Jack Layton and Nycole Turmel. Most recently Anne has been working as Strategic Advisor to Tom Mulcair.

The federal party’s council unanimously confirmed her appointment as National Director at a meeting in Ottawa today.

McGrath takes over this role from Nathan Rotman.
