NDP statement on Passover

NDP Leader Tom Mulcair made the following statement:

"As the Jewish community comes together at the start of Passover today, my family and I extend our best wishes to all those marking this important holiday – in Canada and around the world.

Many will gather with friends and family to retell the powerful story of the Exodus of the Jewish people out of slavery and celebrate the victory of freedom.

This important tale of faith and hope prevailing over oppression and persecution can serve as an inspiration to those of all faiths.
