NDP statement on Guru Nanak Gurpurab

NDP MP Don Davies (Vancouver-Kingsway) released the following statement regarding Guru Nanak Gurpurab:

‘‘Today marks one of the great sacred anniversaries of the Sikh religion, the Guru Nanak Gurpurab. Some 545 years ago, Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, was born.

For Sikh Canadians, as well as all Canadians, the Guru Nanak Gurpurab is a reminder of our shared objective to make Canada a more inclusive, generous and respectful place for all.

I wish everyone observing Guru Nanak Gurpurab an amazing celebration.’’
