NDP REALITY CHECK: Liberals putting their trust in Tom Mulcair to bring change to Ottawa

More and more, Liberals are saying Justin Trudeau just hasn’t lived up to their expectations and they’re putting their trust in Tom Mulcair to defeat Stephen Harper and fight for middle class families as prime minister.

This week, eight people from the Liberal Riding Association of Gaspésie-Île de la Madeleine – including their vice-president and past-president – endorsed their local NDP candidate Phil Toone and joined the NDP’s campaign to bring change to Ottawa.

These were just the latest Liberals to recognize that Tom Mulcair is a principled, trustworthy leader who gets the middle class – and has a concrete plan to help families get ahead.

In Waterloo, Ontario, three-term city councillor Diane Freeman –andlong-time card-carrying member of the Liberal Party – said her principles drove her to join Tom Mulcair’s NDP as the best way to give Canadians a “chance at change

In the Ontario riding of Lanark–Frontenac-Kingston, Perth Mayor John Fenik, who had considered running for the Liberals, was disappointed in the Liberal leader and decided the best way to achieve concrete change on issues like raising the minimum wage and creating an economy that put middle class families first was to run for Tom Muclcair’s NDP.

Former municipal councillor in Millet, Alberta, Margaret Andrade – who was a Liberal activist – is running for Tom Mulcair’s NDP in the riding of Leeds–Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.

And of course Justin Trudeau’s unprincipled stand on C-51 has had “some Liberals seeing orange ” and other Liberals cutting up their Party membership cards .

After ten years, middle class families are working harder but can’t get ahead. Stephen Harper’s plan isn’t working.

That’s why more and more Canadians are choosing Tom Mulcair and the NDP to bring change to Ottawa.
