NDP presents justice priorities for the fall session
OTTAWA – Despite the prorogation of Parliament, the Official Opposition is ready to take action on important justice issues in the fall session of Parliament.
“Even though the Conservatives shut down the House to avoid scrutiny of their Senate scandal, the NDP wants to move forward on the justice priorities of Canadians,” said NDP Justice critic, Françoise Boivin (Gatineau).
Boivin proposed concrete ideas to improve Canada’s judicial system and better respond to the needs of Canadians:
“We want to get to work today to tackle the problems that our judicial system is facing,” said Boivin. “As always, we are willing to work with the government to make our streets and communities safer.”
