NDP MP Christine Moore cleared of misconduct allegations following investigation

MONTREAL – On Thursday, the Leader of the NDP Jagmeet Singh announced that an independent investigation has cleared NDP MP Christine Moore of misconduct allegations.

“The investigation has concluded that the allegations against Christine Moore are not supported by the evidence, and there was no misconduct amounting to harassment or abuse of authority,” said Singh. “I want to express my heartfelt respect and gratitude to Christine for her full cooperation and patience with this process.”

Moore’s duties in caucus were suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. Following the report’s findings, Moore will resume her full duties in the NDP Caucus including her role as Critic for Rural Affairs, Critic for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, and as an advocate for women in politics.

“I never doubted that this would be the conclusion of the report, but I am happy that the investigation has come to an end,” Moore said. “I am excited to resume my full duties within the NDP Caucus and continue working hard to represent my constituents in Abitibi—Témiscamingue.”
