NDP announces new critic roles

OTTAWA —Several Members of Parliament have taken on new critic roles in the NDP Shadow Cabinet. Nathan Cullen (Skeena-Bulkley Valley) is now the party’s critic for Ethics and will also take on the role of Deputy Critic for Finance. Quebec MP Karine Trudel (Jonquière) will serve as Deputy Critic for Ethics. The NDP Lieutenant for Quebec, Alexandre Boulerice (Rosemont-La Petite Patrie), will take on the role of Finance Critic.

Alistair MacGregor (Cowichan-Malahat-Langford) will serve as the NDP critic for Justice. Rachel Blaney (North Island-Powell River) will now be the Seniors Critic and Jenny Kwan (Vancouver East) will add Multiculturalism to her portfolio of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship.

“I am proud to announce that these talented MPs will take on more responsibility in our shadow cabinet,” said NDP Leader Tom Mulcair. “While the Liberals are focused on helping themselves, our strong NDP team will continue to fight for hardworking Canadians.”
